News from the Zelmer Zoo

Important Info:

*The school store will be open on Wednesdays and Thursdays before school.

*Smoke Detectors- Chris Smith, Westminster Fire Chief, is encouraging all families to check their smoke detectors at home to see if they are working. If they do not have a smoke detector, parents can call the Westminster Fire Department at 647-3206. The firemen will be happy to get a smoke detector to anyone in need and install it.

*Any medicine sent to school needs to be in original bottle and directions written out by parent. All medication will be kept in the office. If your child is taking a prescribed medicine, you must bring it to the office. The school nurse will no longer have cough drops to give out.

* Possible Daycare: Westminster Baptist Church is conducting a survey to determine interest in an all day childcare program beginning this fall. The cost varies depending on the age of the child. (Example: The charge for a four year old will be $100 per week). This includes both programs. If you are interested, call Margaret Forrester at 647-2858 for details. Due to limited space, please call before Tuesday, February 3. Public registration is Wednesday, February 4.
