Third Grade News

Important Info:


Field Trip Update: The second payment of $20 per person will be due by Tuesday, March 24. Letters with information will be sent home today.


Jump Into Kindergarten- April 21- 4:00-5:30 and 5:30-7:00 (call the school for an appointment). Children who will enter public kindergarten in August 2009, will be able to meet the principal, kindergarten teachers, and future classmates. They will also tour the kindergarten classrooms at their new school. The sessions are free, but you must call the child’s elementary school to register. Come join the fun, learn with your child and jump into kindergarten


*The school store will be open on Wednesdays and Thursdays before school.


*Smoke Detectors- Chris Smith, Westminster Fire Chief, is encouraging all families to check their smoke detectors at home to see if they are working. If they do not have a smoke detector, parents can call the Westminster Fire Department at 647-3206. The firemen will be happy to get a smoke detector to anyone in need and install it.


*Pre K and Kindergarten registration: Pre K Registration is set for March 3. Kindergarten Registration is set for March 2 through 6. If you know someone that is interested, they need to bring in birth certificate, social security card, immunization record and proof of address to the registration.


*Family Movie Night: We are planning to have a Family Movie Night on Friday, February 27. We will be watching “Horton Hears a Who”
